All Documentum clients are supported including Workspace, Viewspace, Smartspace, DeskTop or WebTop, and RightSite, WDK or DFC both in a client server configuration, and Intranet/Internet, through the Web browser.

Markups/Annotations/Redlines are automatically saved on the Docbase server and are available to other users to edit or view depending on their document access level.

For added document handling capabilities for CAD documents created in AutoCAD or MicroStation, AutoVue Professional and VueLink are available directly from Documentum under the kVisia, CADLink and VueServer product names, developed by McLaren Software, a Documentum Signature Partner.

VueLink and AutoVue Professional for Documentum give users the following powerful features and capabilities - locally, or remotely via a Web browser:

• Securely view documents in their native format or their Acrobat PDF renditions stored in the Documentum server, without opening them
• Support for over 450 Engineering and Business documents formats
• View Multi-content objects
• Handles multiple markup files
• Views DocViewer markup files
• Create markups/redlines/annotations directly on stored documents or renditions using a rich set of annotations tools.
• Create hyperlink connections to other related documents.
• Consolidate several markup files (perhaps from different reviewers) into a single markup file
• Control Regular, Read only, Master, and Consolidated markup access to markup files.
• Markups are associated with a specific revision of a documents. Markups may be migrated to new revisions if needed.
• Graphically compare different revisions of Engineering drawings.
• Create and store Acrobat PDF renditions of documents and associated markups directly from your workstation. (Acrobat distiller required)

VueLink for Documentum also provides users the basis to add further powerful functionality to Documentum's installation through the use of custom designed tools.

Custom designed tools offer many possibilities. Users can create intelligent custom stamps that query for document information to include in a markup.

Custom applications can be created to extract relevant information from an AutoCAD or MicroStation file, and automatically link it with information (such as a Bill of Materials) available in the Documentum vault. This brings the concept of intelligent drawings to a new level.

These features are also available from within your Web Browser using AutoVue Client-Server Edition.

An integration between Documentum and the AutoVue family of products is also available from Documentum and McLaren under the names CADLink and VueServer.
