The Windchill PDM is a Web based solution allowing for Collaborative Product Commerce over an Internet/intranet network. VueLink for Windchill integrates Cimmetry’s AutoVue with the Windchill PDM system.
While the Windchill PDM does not automatically come equipped to provide users the means to natively view various documents, users can now gain this valuable native viewing feature through the integration of an outside viewing application. VueLink for Windchill integrates AutoVue products’ viewing and markup capabilities with the Windchill Server, providing a seamless user interface. VueLink tightly integrates at both the client and server levels. This version retains all the functionality of the standalone yet is fully installed and administered on the server side. Client machines can thus access, view and annotate documents from their Web browsers and directly from within the Windchill product structure.
Markups/Annotations/Redlines are automatically saved back on the Windchill Server and are available for other users to edit and/or view according to their access level.

Markup Features
- Markup/Redline/Annotate documents directly with one comprehensive set of markup tools
- Work with multiple markup layers and files
- Consolidate several markup files into a single markup file
- Associate markups with specific document revisions
- Migrate markups to new revisions as required
- Control access to Regular, Read-only, Master, and Consolidated markup files
- Create hyperlinks to connect to other documents / applications
- Sign markups, using CIC’s (Communication Intelligence Corporation) electronic signature package (CIC product required).
Other Features
VueLink for Windchill also provides a solid basis to which users can add powerful functionality via custom designed tools to further enhance their Windchill installation.
Users can create an intelligent Markup Stamp that queries for the current relevant information (author, date…) that should be included in the stamp.
Custom applications can be created to extract relevant information from one document, and link to it with information from the Windchill Vault or other system.
