Users must be using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, or Netscape 4.7 or higher, and Java must be enabled in their browser. (Note: This is the default setting and Java will therefore be enabled unless it has been previously deactivated by the user.) Access to the demo server is through a T1 connection.
There are two online demos available for you to try:
AutoVue SolidModel Pro (3D/2D CAD, EDA, Office):
This demo allows you to view, markup, manipulate, measure, explode and section native 3D assemblies directly from within your browser window. You can also view and markup 2D CAD, EDA, raster, vector, hybrid and office formats. MSIE: CAB file is approx: 1.9MB, Netscape: JAR file is approx. 3.7MB
On a high-speed connection, the applet will take approximately 1 minute to download and initialize. On slower connections it may take a few minutes. (Approximately 5 minutes with a modem, less than 2 minutes with DSL, Cable modem, T1 or faster connections). This delay only occurs the first time the demo is used, as the applet is cached for future sessions.
The online demo will present you with a selection of sample files which you can then load into the applet. Simply click on the desired link in the left frame and that file will be loaded into the applet in the right frame. The left link frame is not a required element of AutoVue, merely an aid to using the online demo. AutoVue can be used stanalone or integrated into a document management system.
