Collaboration across the enterprise requires that all users be able to access, review, and comment on information being developed within an organization (engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, executives) or externally (consultants, business partners, government, customers). Regardless of a document's origin or format, AutoVue permits all users to view, markup and collaborate on documents, reducing communication barriers and project costs while accelerating project completion times.

AutoVue provides for two methods of Collaboration: Markup (asynchronous) and Real-Time (synchronous):

• Markup refers to the process of users annotating or redlining documents and saving those markups, allowing other users to access their feedback. With this method, users collaborate at their own pace or as the workflow demands.
• Real-time Collaboration allows multiple users to hold real-time meetings and access the same document simultaneously. Users can chat, co-view, co-interrogate and co-markup documents online in real-time, communicating their feedback instantaneously.

AutoVue is available as a Windows desktop application as well as a thin-client version, deployable on Windows or UNIX servers. Oracle's viewing and markup products are strategically designed to integrate seamlessly with Document Management (DM, EDM), Workflow, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), ASPs and e-business Portals, either directly or via the Web.
