Teams can easily create AutoVue Mobile Packs containing AutoVue streaming files or native files, any related external reference files, associated AutoVue markups, as well as attributes from back-office systems, such as documents status or approval date. Secure Mobile Packs can then be emailed or shared with remote maintenance and field service workers or supply chain partners for viewing, markup and collaboration. Inbound markups and comments saved in the Mobile Packs can be easily updated in the back-office system, becoming an integral part of the organization’s business workflows and processes.

ACCELERATED VIEWING OF COMPLEX CAD FILES

AutoVue Web Version features a unique architecture and streaming technology to accelerate the display of large or complex CAD documents on client machines.
Native CAD data is rendered on the server and a stream of information is sent down to the client in an on-demand fashion. This method ensures optimized performance and high-speed data delivery, especially when dealing with centralized data sources. With streamed data, users can begin viewing and working on complex 3D assemblies or multi-page 2D CAD documents after only a fraction of the data has been streamed down.
As information is streamed down to the client, it is also saved and managed on the AutoVue Server as an accelerator file to speed up subsequent viewings of the CAD document. Integrated with an existing Document Management, Product Lifecycle Management or Enterprise Resource Planning system, AutoVue Web Version delivers even greater viewing performance, by allowing for the pre-generation of accelerator files for every document stored in the DMS/PLM/ERP repository. This allows for faster file access and display every time.

With AutoVue Web Version, the server defines the user interface capabilities and feature set provided to the client, giving the server administrator complete control over those functions and features made available to the user. For example, users may be granted or denied the right to perform printing, redlining, or any other functionality available in AutoVue depending on their access permission level. AutoVue also provides multiple language support allowing various groups of users to have user interfaces in different languages, including:

• French
• German
• Japanese
• Korean
• Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).

RAPID & COST EFFECTIVE DEPLOYMENT, update and maintenance

AutoVue Web Version leverages Java's applet technology for rapid deployment in browser environments. The zero administration client provides automatic installation, transparent to the user. Furthermore, AutoVue features automatic versioning when new versions of the software are installed on the server. The client browser automatically detects the availability of a new version and installs it.

AutoVue Web Version is an ideal solution in terms of support and maintenance since new versions only need to be installed once on the server. This is particularly convenient to keep up with new supported formats and updates.

SCALABILITY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE EXTENDED ENTERPRISE

AutoVue Web Version was designed to provide for server scalability to support a growing number of users. Additional servers can simply be added should the need arise to increase the number of users/clients. This can be done on-line, without interrupting service. Accommodating additional users simply becomes a matter of monitoring the AutoVue servers' load and adding servers as required. The load is efficiently balanced across the AutoVue server cluster. Doubling the capacity may be as simple as adding one more machine, making it a cost and resource efficient way to accommodate growth.
