AutoVue VueLink for SAP PLM provides users with a single point of access to hundreds of document types stored in the SAP PLM for viewing, printing, markup and real-time collaboration.
AutoVue features built-in support for hundreds of document types. Moreover, AutoVue integrated with SAP PLM works directly with the mySAP PLM CAD integrations to provide visualization for any supported native CAD format including CATIA, Pro/E, NX, SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, as well as EDA, Office and PDF documents. Users can create markups or annotations on all supported document types, including PDF documents, which are saved back in the SAP repository. Users do not require Acrobat Pro to be able to view and annotate PDF documents with AutoVue.
By providing viewing and markup capabilities for hundreds of document types, AutoVue eliminates the cost and complexity of maintaining multiple client-side viewers and server-side conversion systems. Users can easily and instantly access, view and review crucial information stored in the SAP PLM, generated from a variety of authoring applications, anytime and anywhere.

AutoVue VueLink for SAP PLM is a web-based solution that requires no client side installation. It provides an interface between SAP PLM solutions and AutoVue.
View Documents:
- Securely view documents including 2D/3D CAD, EDA, image and Office documents.
- AutoVue offers support for over 450 Engineering and Business document formats including: AutoCAD, MicroStation, HPGL, CATIA, UG, Pro/E, JT, Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Board Station, Orcad, EDIF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, TIFF etc.

Browse and Search for Documents:
- Browse and search for files stored in SAP PLM directly from AutoVue.
Integrate Metadata into your Documents
- Automatically extract metadata information stored in SAP PLM, and integrate it into your documents.
Generate Various Renditions of your Documents
- Generate reliable renditions of your document, including TIFF and PDF, using AutoVue’s rendition generation features. The generated file can be saved back into the SAP PLM, therefore providing a single point of access for all documents.
Compare Documents:
- Graphically compare different revisions of engineering drawings or 3D assemblies.
Create Markups/Annotations/Comments:
- Markup and annotate all supported file types and create different markup types for improved collaboration. Markups can be associated with a specific version of a document and can be migrated to new revisions.
- Master Markups are automatically loaded as a document is opened for viewing. Only the author has editing privileges. This is useful to alert team members to new critical information about the file.
- Consolidate several Markup files (perhaps from different reviewers) into a single Markup file.
- Read-Only Markups may only be edited by the author.
- Create regular Markups that can be edited by anyone viewing them.
- All markups are automatically saved into SAP PLM and are available for other users depending on their access level.
